This week has been a spiritual feast! starting with planning for Zone Meeting, feeling and watching the Spirit work through the leadership of the zone to prepare to edify the zone members. It was such a great Zone Meeting! The Spirit was strong and each section went so smoothly. Our STL's (Senior Training Leaders) did particularly great at helping all of us increase our desire to baptize. They shared D&C 20:37 but applied to missionary work so it read, "All those who [go on missions for] God, [must] desire to [baptize], and come forth with broken hearts and contrite spirits, and witness before the church that they have truly repented of all their sins, and [take] upon them the name of Jesus Christ, having a determination to serve him to the end, and truly manifest by their works that they have received of the Spirit of Christ unto [the helping of others receive] the remission of their sins, shall be [successful on their missions.]" The Spirit really touched my heart as they shared that.

We also had a baptism this week! His name is Rafael and he was so prepared and the family that introduced him to the church was so influential in helping him and being his friends to answer his questions and support him in his decision.

We had a huge miracle! Kayla is one of our new investigators and she's practically already a member, just not baptized. She's very prepared as well. At the close of our first lesson we knelt in prayer and when we taught her to pray we told her to ask specific questions, one being "is what Elder Keech and Elder Combrink taught me true?" But during the prayer she said "I know that what Elder Keech and Elder Combrink taught me is true and I'm grateful that I get to learn from them." My jaw dropped.

I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY!

I love all of you. But I love Jesus Christ more. And this is where He wants me. So this is where I want to be.

Such a good week! José was confirmed in Sacrament Meeting. We taught our investigator named Ty 6 times and he's going to be baptized on the 31st and we taught Rafael a few times and he's going to be baptized on Sunday, the 24th. We're sooooo excited!

Elder Edward is being transferred. I'm sad about that. Elder Keech and I will be staying together and it'll just be the 2 of us. I'm going to remember this transfer for forever!

We just found out this morning that President Russell M. Nelson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will be visiting our mission on January 30th and doing a mission conference!!! I'm so excited! I feel like the early saints (as in members of the Church soon after Christ's death) who eagerly approached the chance to hear from Peter, or James, or John.

I absolutely love the YSA Branch! I'm sorry that I made fun of it before I came on my mission...

I love being a missionary! I'm so grateful I chose to listen to a prophet's voice by coming on a mission and for all who support me!

I love all of you. But I love Jesus Christ more. And this is where He wants me. So this is where I want to be.

José was baptized yesterday! It was such an amazing experience being able to teach him all the lessons, be the first missionaries to contact him, and see the change in his life! He was glowing after he was baptized and it was so cool! He's only 19 and we committed him to prepare this next year to be able to serve a mission, whether he decides to actually go or not. There's a lot of members in the branch who were baptized in their late teens and then went on missions so they're going to help encourage him to go. I'm so excited to be a missionary at this time.

We saw a lot of miracles this week! One we saw Saturday when a member who was supposed to drive us around all day was a couple hours late. We hopped on our bikes and started talking to people we saw on the streets. One family was moving so we offered our help and they actually allowed us to help them. Then one of them, a Young Single Adult named AJ, ended up being a former investigator who's been reading the Book of Mormon recently and wants to come to church and start taking the lessons again!

I love being a missionary. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ and having the opportunity to share it with others!

I love all of you. But I love Jesus Christ more. And this is where He wants me. So this is where I want to be.

We had a great week this week! I'm so grateful to be in the YSA Branch! We have a member, Kevin, who's been driving us around this whole week because he has work off. The most incredible part is that he's tight on money, but he knows that he'll be blessed for helping share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It also helps that gas is only $1.65 a gallon in Houston!

We worked really hard this week and it was so much fun! It seems like the more tired I am, the more I laugh... well to a point. But I love my companions! Elder Keech and Elder Edward are hard workers and it's so great to serve around them!

I'm sorry it's short this week. I love all of you. But I love Jesus Christ more. And this is where He wants me. So this is where I want to be.
